Circular Economy and Design Principles
Reducing our carbon footprint is a key consideration throughout our product design and manufacturing process as well as our day to day business operations.
All of our products go through a stringent design approval process to ensure they are created based on our 4 principles of health, technology, sustainability, and inclusiveness, with a focus on circularity.
Australian Made
All Grillex products are manufactured using materials and electrical components that are 100% Australian made – eliminating the need for foreign import and transportation, as well as ensuring resilience against international disruptions.
Manufacturing and Office Operations
Grillex utilises renewable energy to power our purpose-built, state of the art manufacturing facility and office space with a 100kW solar system in an effort to reduce our carbon footprint.
In order to further minimise our impact on the environment, we also promote power-saving and lean manufacturing within our business. Our manufacturing equipment and lighting functions only when necessary – saving a considerable amount of energy.
During the manufacturing process aluminium scrap and cut-offs are collected and sent to an accredited recycling specialist.
In-office resources like paper, cartridges, packaging and printing waste are re-used and recycled promoting circularity right across our workplace. Our sales and office employees are encouraged to host virtual meetings in a bid to avoid unnecessary travel pollution.
